COVID-19 Update (8/21/2020): Taking into consideration of the health and safety of Soldiers, our staff, and the community, certain changes have been made to our services.  Many services are being offered virtually.  We request that you wear a face covering when visiting the Education Center.



  • Army Education Counselors are teleworking.  All counseling services are virtual.
    • Soldiers with active GoArmyEd accounts are strongly encouraged to make use of the Help Desk Case function in GoArmyEd.  These cases are reviewed by counselors every work day.
        1. Log into GoArmyEd. 
        2. Click on the green question mark icon. 
        3. Scroll down to the help desk case link.
      • For those without active GoArmyEd accounts, or those who encounter problems activating their accounts, please call the GoArmyEd helpdesk at 1-800-817-9990 (M-F, 0700-1900)
    • Telephonic appointments are available.  Call 910-908-0927 or 910-396-6721 to schedule.  Use of the help desk case system is encouraged whenever possible.
    • Virtual briefings conducted via MS Teams
      • Call 910-396-6721 to schedule
        • Credentialing Assistance 101 - Tuesdays at 1000
        • GoArmyEd 101 (for new TA users) - Wednesdays at 1200
  • Outprocessing only: Wing J of the Fort Bragg Education Center, 0900-1600, Monday-Friday.

Counseling Services 

Counseling is provided by appointment or on a space-available basis.  Reservations can be made by phone for individual appointments and weekly briefings. 
Appointments are not required for BSEP Registration, Out-Processing, Transcript Memos.  WTB Soldiers will also be seen without appointment.
**If requesting a transcript memo for any purpose, bring transcripts from all colleges/universities attended. These transcripts may be opened, but must have (1) school letterhead, watermark, and/or seal, (2) signature or stamp of school official, (3) date of conferral for any degree(s) awarded.  Foreign transcripts must be accompanied by an evaluation by a NACES member organization.**  (Ref. MILPER Message 17-193)

No appointment required.  Soldiers E-5 and below must attend a in-processing briefing.  Soldiers E-6 and above and all service members out-processing will be seen individually.  Briefings are also held weekly for Soldiers in-processing the WTB.

Testing Services

Army Personnel Testing (APT)

Army Personnel Tests including Armed Forces Classification Test (AFCT), Defense Language Aptitude Battery (DLAB), Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT), Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI), Selection Instrument for Flight Training (SIFT), Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) and more.  Sample DA4187 and Exception to Policy (ETP) documents can be found here.  Schedules are posted monthly to the Education Center Facebook Page.

National Testing Center (NTC)

The National Testing Center is a site for Soldiers and other members of the Fort Bragg Community to take commercial tests including CLEP, DSST, GRE, SAT, etc.  Proctoring services are available for a fee.  Soldiers are encouraged to review information about DANTES test funding and reimbursement.

Soldier For Life-Transition Assistance Program (SFL-TAP) Accessing Higher Education 

Two-day briefings are conducted at the Fort Bragg Education Center, Wing E, Rooms 115/114 for transitioning Soldiers.  Schedule with your SFL-TAP Counselor or any Accessing Higher Education Track Counselor.
